AUG 25, 2010 | New Webserver in October 2010
RF_magazine will be moving to a new webserver in October. During that time, homepage and online shop won't be available for 1 or 2 days and it won't be possible to order or RF_magazine or download scene files. This step became necessary to improve the website's performance and enhance storage possibilites. There will be another announcement here when the exact date has been fixed. Thank you for your understanding.
AUG 19, 2010 | ParticleSeparator Plugin
One of the key issues with RealFlow has always been to find out whether particles are inside an object or outside. The ParticleSeparator plugin is an easy-to-use C++ tool which detects particles inside objects and shifts them to a new new emitter. Then, these particles can be simulated separately. With our tool it's possible to literally carve out objects from fluids - a process that's impossible to achieve with RealFlow's board means.
ParticleSeparator is a co-development of Martin Staudigel (computer scientist), Christian Steiner (physicist) and Thomas Schlick (creator of RF_magazine, RealFlow expert and certified trainer). Together we're the RF_ToolFactory and we're currently doing a lot of R&D for more complex plugins and extensions for RealFlow.
